A documetry about a 56 year old Japanese man’s struggle to live under poverty. Naoki is working part time for an insurance company in Japan,. For part time in Japan, it means 7 hours a day with a wage about 5 dollars an hour. Working full time is not much of an upgrade either, the pressure to meet sales expectations has bogged down many to seek mental help. It is rare for Japanese to open up to foreigners and discuss their problems, but Naoki’s willingness to share his situation, as he said to Sean McAllister, the filmmaker, that McAllister has broken the shadow he was hiding behind.
